Ian Johnson, former Sandals and Princess Cruises Exec, joins the Capturelife team.

Capturelife, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise mobile marketing and commerce solutions for experience economy brands and memory businesses, announced the appointment of Ian Johnson, former Director of Photography & Video Operations, Sandals Resorts International, as Strategic Advisor for the Cruise and Resorts markets.

Mr. Johnson spent his 35-year career working with some of the most iconic brands in the travel and leisure market. Beginning with his first job as a professional photographer on-board cruise ships in 1985, he worked his way through every facet of the industry to become an award-winning Operations Director for Photography and Video at both Princess Cruises and Sandals Resorts International. During this time, Mr. Johnson  was responsible for a number of industry “firsts,” guiding  those operations to evolve and grow in an ever changing and complex world of digital photography.

“Ian brings a wealth of industry knowledge and relationships to the Capturelife team. His operational expertise and insights will be extremely valuable to both existing and new Capturelife customers as we continue to expand in the market and grow our solutions,” Tim Bates, Capturelife CRO explained.

Mr. Johnson became interested in Capturelife through a competitive RFP process he was running at Sandals Resorts. “I’ve known about Capturelife for several years and through the process of selecting our new mobile photography solution for Sandals, I came to realize how deep and powerful the Capturelife platform is,” Ian explained.

“The COVID-19 pandemic is forcing cruise and resort companies to change to a more strategic, touchless photography experience, which is exactly what Capturelife delivers. I’m already seeing demand from the companies I know in the industry and I’m very excited to help increase their customer engagement and grow revenue.”
